Girlstart Curriculum Writer
Are you a certified teacher or know a teacher who loves to write exciting, creative curriculum? Girlstart is looking for certified teachers to help develop fun, hands-on curriculum for our upcoming summer camps. Camp lessons should only take an hour to implement and include a hands-on component. If you are interested please email Camp Director Katelyn Wamsted with a sample lesson. Summer Camp Internship
Go behind the scenes at Girlstart Summer Camp by applying for our Summer Camp Internship! Gain valuable experience from working directly with Girlstart staff members in a fun, empowering environment. The Summer Camp Intern must be a current Sophomore, Junior or Senior in high school or a college student and must fulfill 150 volunteer hours over the course of the summer. She will gain valuable resume-boosting experience and a ton of fun memories! Email Sarah Haegelin for an application. Deadline for applications is May 5th.
Spend a Week at Girlstart Summer Camp!
Summer Camp Volunteers provide support for the Girlstart staff and the Summer Camp Counselors by assisting with curriculum preparation, photography, snack set-up and clean-up, and other organizational/logistical duties as needed. Four highs school volunteers are needed per summer camp session, and weeks are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. All volunteers must attend a mandatory volunteer training before their week of camp. Come have a blast at Girlstart this summer!
