Planned Giving

Leave a Legacy to Support Girlstart’s Programs Now and in the Future!

Planned gifts include charitable trusts, gift annuities and bequests—giving arrangements that can offer tax advantages and allow you to maximize your giving potential.

Bequests
The most simple way to make a lasting difference in a girl’s life is when you designate Girlstart as a beneficiary in your will or estate plans.

Retirement Planned Gifts
You can designate Girlstart as the primary benefactor of your retirement account, or it can be transferred to a deferred giving arrangement that will pay an income for life to a family member, after which the remaining assets pass to Girlstart.

Life Insurance Planned Gifts
You can name Girlstart as a beneficiary to your life insurance policy or donate the entire amount to be paid after your lifetime. To qualify for the federal charitable deduction on a gift of an existing policy, you must name Girlstart as both owner and beneficiary.
