Bequests
The most simple way to make a lasting difference in a girl’s life is when you designate Girlstart as a beneficiary in your will or estate plans.

Sample bequest language: I hereby give, devise and bequeath _____ dollars ($_____), or _____ percent (_____ %) of my (residuary) estate, to be used for the benefit of Girlstart, a not-for-profit Texas corporation (Tax ID 31-1595414), for its general use.

Retirement Planned Gifts
You can designate Girlstart as the primary benefactor of your retirement account, or it can be transferred to a deferred giving arrangement that will pay an income for life to a family member, after which the remaining assets pass to Girlstart.

Life Insurance Planned Gifts
You can name Girlstart as a beneficiary to your life insurance policy or donate the entire amount to be paid after your lifetime. To qualify for the federal charitable deduction on a gift of an existing policy, you must name Girlstart as both owner and beneficiary.
