Volunteer Power

Girlstart is lucky to have the best volunteers around!  A group from Catapult Systems volunteered this month and helped us spruce up our backyard and building in preparation for summer camp.  They planted new grass, plants, trimmed trees, power washed picnic tables, cleaned gutters, ironed, painted and the list goes on.  Thanks to Catapult Systems, we are ready to have the biggest group of summer campers ever!  If you are interested in volunteering at Girlstart, check out our website for upcoming opportunities: http://www.girlstart.org/volunteer.asp.

Linley Rocks!

Linley Stroud is our Event Intern, heading up presenter recruitment for Expanding Your Horizons. Linley is volunteering 20 hours a week (fall and spring semester), and is such huge help! Since she joined our intern team last fall, Linley has helped with our Spooky Science Extravaganza and Take a Girl to College Day, in addition to Expanding Your Horizons. Linely is an Art History major at UT and originally from Haverford, PA. Thank you Linley for all your help! We appreciate you!
