 NOTE FROM TAMARA

true north Dear friends,

It's been a great month here at Girlstart!

It was great to meet so many of you at the Spooky Science Extravaganza. Spooky Science was a true family affair. Girlstart fans from throughout the region had fun—and learned something! Please keep tuned for our next Science Extravaganza, Starry Science, December 5th. There will be more details on our website in November.

Between now and then, however, Girlstart has much for you to learn about and do. I'm looking forward to meeting more of you at our Birthday Bash on November 5! If you haven't yet purchased your tickets, please click here to make sure you can join us at this wonderful event. Between Austin Cake Balls, demos of video games made during Project IT Girl, silent and live auction, the wine toss, we know it will be a memorable evening of birthday festivities. Our newest board member, Lori Olfers, and her husband Ron are our hosts for the evening, and we hope you'll join us to celebrate the many ways that people love Girlstart.

If you haven't received my recent letter with important updates on our programs in the regular mail, please email me and let me know—I'll be happy to send you the note by email. I hope you'll be as pleased as we are about the impact Girlstart has in the lives of girls, their teachers, and their families. Thank you for these twelve years of progress!

Tamara Hudgins, Ph.D.
Executive Director

Thank you to Dr. Kold for demonstrating the cool things you can do with liquid nitrogen.
