| NOTE FROM RACHEL |
March is one of our busiest months! Austin will be swelling with tens of thousands of people during South by Southwest, and it's always a great time to be here. If you're going to the SXSW Interactive Conference on March 8, stop by and say "hi" to Girlstart Technology & Program Coordinator Clare Richardson who will be moderating in a great panel discussion called “Go For IT! Attracting Girls to Technology". We're also thrilled to announce that Alexis Jones, a current cast member on "Survivor: Micronesia" will be speaking about dreaming big at this year's Expanding Your Horizons on March 29 at UT. You can check out how Alexis is doing in the wild on Thursdays on CBS at 7 p.m. CST. Also, we'd like to give a big thanks to our amazing sponsor, FOX 7, who produced an inspiring new Girlstart PSA featuring some of our Girlstart girls. You'll love it! On March 27, join us for a party at Rae Cosmetics at 26 Doors where Girlstart supporter and make-up extraordinaire Rochelle Rae will launching a new lip gloss called "Smartie" in honor of Girlstart! Proceeds from the sale of "Smarties" will benefit Girlstart. |
