 NOTE FROM RACHEL

It's our birthday, and we're ready to celebrate!

After months of anticipation, our 10th Anniversary celebration will take place September 6th at the METV Studios. There are still a limited number of tickets left to the party, which you can order now here. We'll have live music from six of Austin's greatest female performers, including Sara Hickman. Ticket includes wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres, and lots of fun to celebrate a decade of success!

Even if you can't attend, remember that we'll do our luxury vacation raffle drawing that same night and you don't need to be present to win. $100 gets you a ticket for a chance at an unforgettable Caribbean escape for 8 guests, and helps us start our next decade of success off right!

Speaking of starting off, another school year has begun, which means another year of our fabulous Saturday camp adventures are starting! Registration is now open for the year's first middle school-age camp for sixth through eighth graders, iGirl, taking place on September 22, and Behind the Magic, our first elementary school-age camp for the year, for first through fifth graders, on October 20.

In iGirl, campers will learn how to make their own 30-second commercials using iMovie software, and at Behind the Magic, girls and their parents learn the chemistry behind magic tricks they can do at home! Check out the whole Saturday Camp Schedule to see what exciting adventures await you! You can also see the new policy for Saturday camp applications, designed to help as many girls as possible enjoy the camps. We can't wait to see you at the party and throughout the year!

We love Wednesday afternoons because that is when a hard-working, plant-loving, mother-daughter duo from the Capital of Texas Chapter of the National Charity League arrives to water, weed and care for Girlstart's backyard. Thanks so much to our “Girlstart Gardeners” for ensuring our beautiful flowers, grass and trees remain happy and healthy!
