Hi everyone! Our final week at Girlstart was a blast! Instead of an experiment, this week was our showcase. We got to look back at the cool things we did this semester and set up some experiments for our families to see.

We put out five of our awesome models, and got to explain to our loved ones what we did in the Girlstart program. We talked again about canyon formation, landslides, fossils, landfills, and groundwater.

Lots of parents came by, and the girls were able to show their families around. We were very proud of what we had been doing, and I'm sure it showed!

It was our last week, but we'll be back in the fall. Hopefully we'll see you all again!

With Girlstart’s After School programs done for the year, we need to thank a few people who are a huge part of our programs. Girlstart is truly fortunate to have some wonderful teachers and school faculty acting as our campus coordinators. They are our liaisons on each campus collecting registration forms, opening their classrooms for our use, and communicating with the girls on a daily basis. Our programs would not be successful without each and every one of them.

We want to wish all of our campus coordinators a very happy teacher appreciation week! We are so grateful for all you do for Girlstart and on your campuses everyday!

What do you want to do when you graduate?
After going to graduate school and obtaining a Master's Degree in Math Education, I want to teach high school math.

What are you excited about for this summer?
I am excited to be working with Girlstart and preparing for my last year of undergraduate schooling. I am looking forward to a stress free summer and a lot of swimming!

What is one of your favorite summer memories from when you were a kid?
I always loved going to camps over the summer, whether it be for Girl Scouts, choir, or gymnastics. They were so much fun!
