Young Women's Alliance Foundation Supports Girlstart

Girlstart is the proud recipient of the The Young Women's Alliance Foundation (YWAF) 2012 Community Grant for $5,000 to help support the organization’s new After School programs at Pleasant Hill and Palm Elementary schools in Austin.
Kate Stoker, president of the Young Women’s Alliance noted, “We are so
excited to support Girlstart in expanding their successful after-school
programs. Changing the way young girls
perceive these careers and inspiring an interest in these fields will
result in a better future for everyone, not just women.”During the 2011-2012 school year, Girlstart expanded it's After School programming to serve more than 25 high need school sites in Central Texas. The YWAF grant money will go directly to provide educational supplies and materials during the Spring semester 2012 at the new After School programs at Pleasant Hill and Palm Elementary schools in Austin.
Thank you Young Women's Alliance Foundation!
