Spring Break Camp 2012

Last week Girlstart hosted a Motion in the Ocean spring break camp at Mitchell Elementary and Ortega Elementary.  The girls excitedly dove into uncover the wonders of the sea! They learned about marine biologists and oceanographers while exploring the layers of the ocean and studying tide pool creatures.  All the girls even dissected starfish!  Did you know starfish have no brain or blood? Their "blood" is actually filtered sea water and their nervous system is spread throughout their arms. They also created an ocean themed computer game and discovered the world of game development! It was a fun camp for all!
