Girlstart at Games For Change

93% of the girls that make games at Girlstart want to create more games.

We are thrilled to be part of the 9th annual Games For Change Conference in June. Girlstart will participate in the 1st session- Tools for Making Digital Games, which is part of the Hands-on workshops from AMD. The purpose of the session is to introduce educators to the use of game design programs in schools. Educators will gain an understanding of which age-appropriate tools are right for engaging students in designing digital games.

Girlstart provides a unique perspective since our programs successfully engage girls in game development. Engaging girls in technology is our passion, and we will continue to find the game development tools that are best for girls. This summer, every girl will create a game in our summer camps- both at our local camps in Austin and at our national camps as well.
