At Girlstart, our mission is to empower girls in math, science, and technology. We work hard to inspire every girl who attends our programs and we recognize how important it is to be an inspiration to others. In the spirit of thankfulness for the people who shape our lives so profoundly, Girlstart is offering an opportunity to say "Thank You" to your inspirations.

To honor your inspiration, Girlstart will send a beautiful greeting card that was created by a local artist. The card will explain the donation and provide a space for you to leave a personal message.

About the artist:
While getting a degree in Ecology and Environmental Science from the University of Texas, Tammy Jarocki would sometimes do caricatures of her professors alongside her lecture notes. To this day, she has continued to pursue both art and science, working as a chemist at an environmental lab and creating colorful and whimsical illustrations as a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She has volunteered for Girlstart on a number of occasions, most recently at Expanding Your Horizons where she helped teach a group of enthusiastic young women how to do chemistry.
