Summer Camp
Girlstart offers eight weeks of summer camp where campers become engineers making their own creative inventions, forensic pathologists working to solve a mysterious crime, consumer scientists conducting experiments on familiar products, or superstars directing and starring in their own music videos! Girlstart camps are the first step in attracting girls to math, science, and technology subjects. Opportunities are available to provide scholarships to girls who would not be able to attend camp.
Sponsorship Levels: $5,000 - $50,000
After School Programs
Girlstart’s after school programs, called Club Girlstart, are an integrated series of weekly after-school lessons and community-based technology experiences created especially for girls in the 5th through 8th grades and offered at targeted Austin area schools serving high minority, low income populations. Club Girlstart activities are designed to increase girls’ confidence in math, science, engineering and technology and encourage them to pursue higher education and careers in these subjects. Minority populations at these schools range from 70-98% and approximately 45-95% of students qualify for the free lunch program.

Saturday Camp
Held at the Girlstart Tech Center, Girlstart Saturday camps empower girls and families to master technology, web design, desktop publishing, and multimedia activities together in creative and fun hands-on workshops! Parent daughter camps are two hours long and serve girls in grades 1st through 5th. Girl camps are half-day camps for girls in 6th - 8th grades.

Expanding Your Horizons
Expanding Your Horizons is a full day program of unique 50-minute hands-on workshops in math, science technology and engineering topics. Workshops span unique themed tracks and offer girls fun, hands-on learning led by women scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. Girlstart provides this unique program for up to 300 middle school girls from across Central Texas.

Girlstart.com
Girlstart.com, a website for high quality online interactive curriculum for girls ages 9-15, provides free online lessons, career information, science experiments, and more. Since Girlstart.com's inception in July 2001, the site has served over two and a half million visitors worldwide. Girlstart.com was recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Public Service at the 2003 Texas Interactive Media Awards.
